RE: Can the voting age ever be changed again?
what were you thinking.. younger?
i think 18 is pretty young yet. its probably perfect.. but i know so many people who turned 18 and voted cause they could and thats good but they werent thinking about their decisions as one should..

if we wait till 21 to drink why not vote when we're 21. im 21 now and NOW i feel like a true adult... at 18 i was still a rebel and i felt more of a kid then..

now i feel like i know what life is all about.

PEACE,
Hlee from..

At 18 voting is appropriate for the general population as it is usually associated with the age of adulthood. There are exceptions to everything. Now the drinking age--that should probably be lowered.

I think it should not change.
A 16-17 year old child doesn't know anything about politics.

16-17 age will be too early for voting because even they will not have a maturity level i think 18 should be perfect for voting

it seems strange that an emancipated, 17 year old, HS dropout who works full time to support his child shouldn't be able to vote.

I hope not because you have to be mature enough to be able to see the responsibility of the vote and to think on long term when you vote, not on short term. When you are a bit more mature you can make a difference between a true thing ad a false one before voting. I think the correct age is 18.

I think that a 16 years teenager is too immature for that responsibility (to vote).
