How can i help my boyfriend quit smoking cigarettes?

He needs to set a quit date and remind himself every day of it.

YOU can't help him, he will only see it as nagging.

I quit three years ago and it was the best present I ever gave myself....you can tell him that if you like.

you may think of some kind of reward for him if he manages that, or try to replace sigarettes with candy...I'm not sure I didn't have this habbit

He could also try some of those smokeless cigarettes they have now. They give the sensation of smoking a cigarette but they are really not cigarettes. I've also heard that the nicotene gum products work well because they use a 7 step program that eases you off the addiction gradually. Try Nicoderm, for example.

Talk to him, he must the one who must decide if he really want to stop smoking. He is the only one can help himself.

I think will you have to realize him that it is dangerous for his health. The other thing is that without strong will power he can't quite the smoking. If he has strong determination to leave the smoking so he can.
