Isn't ending of Sourav Gangully in International Cricket after sacking from Irani?
Having virtually failed to take off in the recently concluded Sri Lanka test series, Saurav Chandi Ganguly, may find it a bit difficult to 'hang on' to his position in the test side.He has already been ousted from the ODI team, courtsey Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Rather it would be beginning of sharing his rich experience in the world of international cricket by way of commentator,or any short of consultancy job etc etc.You know no body is permanent in the game. We should not forget his contribution towards cricket and nation.I think Media should not comments adverse on his ending from cricketing Carrier.

RE: Isn't ending of Sourav Gangully in International Cricket after sacking from Irani?
It is my view that Ganguly has already been selected for Australia tour. Perhaps, they want to give batting practice to the others.

Ganguly, in his last 23 tests, scored at the rate of 76 runs per test match and 46 runs per innings. This performance is much higher than what he did in his whole career. He is on the upswing. In the last 8 series he played, he performed in 6 (against Pakistan, England, South Africa, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe) and failed only against Sri Lanka. The last time Indians went to Australia, his performance was not a failure. It was an average performance (235 runs in 4 matches).

So, it is my opinion that Dada has to be there against the Aussies. if some one has to be dropped out of the 4, it is Dravid. His last 19 test matches brought him 1,005 runs at an innings average of 30 and match average of 53.

Hope, selectors will see reason. Which youngster can replace Dada ?

It is!
A very sad end to one who has given it all to the country.
No other Nation does this. They should have let him play and show his skill after a (may be) with a warning that this was the last chance. Even that would have been a better thing.

What goes around, comes around. One day Dhoni will face the same state of affairs. After all, no one is invincible.

Sourav's record last year is better than both Rahul and Dhoni. Choosing Rahul was a SMART move. It is a big loss to Indian Cricket.
