Rich and Poor
I have received an email from a friend and this email was so inspiring its touches my heart I wanted to share this to you:
One day The father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family On their return from their trip, the father asked his son How was the trip? It was great, Dad. Did you see how poor people live? the father asked. Oh yeah, said the son. So, tell me, what you learned from the trip? asked the father. The son answered: I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end… We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us; they have friends to protect them The boy's father was speechless Then his son added, Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have Appreciate every single thing you have! Margaret Baker Life is so... Wonderful. |

RE: Rich and Poor
We should appreciate every thing we have whether big or small. Life is truly great if we only count our blessings. Great post. Thanks.

RE: Rich and Poor
That was a very touching story. I like how it tells you that you should be thankful for what you have, because what you have and what you don't have is all just a matter of perspective.

And in this scenario, you might have more protection by physical means, but you may have to trade in the spontaneity of being able to run into your neighbors often and make friends with them. RE: Rich and Poor
Very touching story. Simply shows that we have to be grateful for what we have right now.

There are also studies that show that people who are more grateful have better long-term health. So being grateful is not only practical for being more creative and making other people want to be around you more, it could actually improve your health.

One woman stops a taxi.
- To the airport, please. After ten minutes the taxi driver, watching the woman in the mirror, says: - You are third pregnant woman that I have driven to the airport today. - Are you kidding me, I am not pregnant. - Well, you haven’t arrived to the airport yet neither. very goood firend |
