RE: what is the difference between corruption and bribe?
The bribe is usually a payment or favors done for someone in a public office in return for that official pushing special contracts through for that person that did the favor.

Corruption example is when a person in public office does stuff for personal gain and not public good. I.E., a congressman for example that owns lets say a construction company, bids come in to do a large project funded by the gov. That congressman uses his clout to get his company the contract.

Bribe is a sign of Corruption.

Taking Bribe is an ACT, when a lot of people start taking bribe, the SYSTEM is called Corruption.

Bribe indicates Corruption prevails. In a corrupted system, BRIBE is an inclusive phenomena.

RE: what is the difference between corruption and bribe?
I've got a perfect example for you right from the democrat party.

Tim Mahoney, Democrat, was elected on a promise that he'd bring good solid family values and strong morality to Washington.

It seems he broke his promise in short order. He had an affair with one of his staffers and bribed her to keep quiet by paying her monthly and giving her a job. She eventually found out that he was having an affair on her (note he's married with two girlfriends now all mad as heck). So in order to shut up mistress #1 he had her fired and promised to make her life miserable if she said anything.

There is your perfect Democrat example. Mahoney paid off his mistress to keep quiet (bribery). When she found out she was also being cheat on, she was threatened and her job was taken away (corruption).

I get where you are going, and I think it all needs cleaned up on both sides of isle. You couldn't get a job in Wal-Mart with the criminal records these men in women have that are making laws for us today.

RE: what is the difference between corruption and bribe?
Paying or receiving bribe is a corruption, but corruption is not always related to bribe.
