RE: What is the hardest sport to learn?
You left baseball off of your list. Keep in mind that an all star major leaguer will only get a hit 3 out of 10 times. With that stat in mind, I'd argue that hitting in baseball is one of the most difficult tasks in sport. It requires great vision, coordination, and incredibly fast hands. And then even if you do hit the ball, you have to make sure you hit it on the proper spot of the bat.

RE: What is the hardest sport to learn?
I think that many different Track & Field events are among the hardest sports to learn. Several of them are very technical and require years to just master the technique. Hammer throwing is just one example. It may not be a high-impact team sport, but it is very challenging. And very fun to watch.

Depends in what you are good at. Physical or Mental? I guess you just need to practice and practice until you learn the sport.

Scientists don't know yet how to trace gene doping, and it could change the landscape of athletics in the future, it could be changing it right now. I think there are probably some skills that genes alone cannot make up for, but maybe in the future that will be possible? Andrea, Butterfly Craze Fairy Wings & Butterfly Wings |

RE: What is the hardest sport to learn?
Golf is definitely one of the most difficult sports to learn, and even harder to master. With golf there is no team to back you up, no coach to encourage you. It's just you and the course, and its a game about being efficient. Any added stroke can lose a match for you. And putting? Talk about frustration.

I think once and for all chess should be considered what it is--a game of strategy. At most, maybe I'd accept calling it a mental sport.
