Like you can't say Obama is a Muslim American even though his father is Muslim. But it is perfectly all Wright for anti semites to tag almost anyone as a Jewish American.

I have never called myself any of the following:

Christian American
English American
Dutch American
Norse American
Irish American

I'm American. I'm proud enough and thankful enough that I don't want to compromise the meaning of that word.

Jews probably don't do it because they feel the same way about being Jewish, they don't feel the need to compromise being Jewish because it's meaningful to them.

Jewish in addition to being a religion is a race.. Muslim isn't a race. You can say African American or Jewish American but not like Buddhist American.

Jews are an ethnic groups as well as a religion. Muslims just have the same religion. So, do we call people Christian Americans? No, we do not.
