Why are Sarah Palin's favorability ratings starting to tank?

It's quite simple. The more we learn about her, the more we realize that she is just a shady politician. She is a proven liar. The dumbest of her lies was that her teleprompter did not function during her acceptance speech. This has been proven false by members of the media who could read from the teleprompter from their seats. Also, she is being investigated for abusing her power. At first she welcomed the investigation, but now she will not cooperate. It appears that she has something to hide. She could make it all go away by cooperating, but she has chosen to go back on her word and ride it out. She is not the reformer McCain likes to make her out to be. She has not fought earmarks as she claims. She now says that we must stop earmark "abuse." That is a clear contradiction from her past statements about ending them altogether. She supported the bridge to nowhere before it became an embarrassment to wasteful spending. She mocked Obama being a community organizer. McCain said in his speech that we as citizens should be more involved if we don't like how things are being run. Well that is what community organizers do. As you can see, she is clearly a typical Washington style politician and people are coming to their senses now that her limelight has dimmed.

I can't wait for the VP debate this Thursday...For Palin to win independent voters and those undecided, she'll need to show that she can run this country, in more depth than an acceptance speech allows for. And I'm really curious to see if she can pull it off.

The sad part is, some people think she won the debates. Yeah sure, she looked great and spoke clearly and even winked at the camera a few times. But it's the substance of what's being said that counts, and she spoke more in generalities than in concrete facts.

I agree with crothall; she speaks mostly in general terms and euphemisms that can be interpreted in many ways. They may sound appealing to some people, but the truth is that they don't say very much. And as a result, speaker is held accountable for less.

Not to mention the fact that she flat out dodged some questions. I'm not choosing sides here, but it seemed like a lot of the time that she just ignored certain questions, or only answered parts of them that would put her in a positive light. At least biden gave concrete answers, even if they were answers you didn't want to here.

I think she is a better actress that a politician. Did you guys watch her in SNL? I was not able to but everybody is talking about it.
