World Cup 'nearly men'

I saw this football blog on the The perennial World Cup "nearly men" - Holland, Spain and Portugal and wanted to hear your thoughts on it.

Despite producing some of the World's best players over the past 50 years, none of them have ever won the World Cup - why is that?

And will they finally break their duck in SA next year? (and will Portugal even qualify??)

That makes me wonder also why they didn't win in world cup. Maybe there is an issue on them. Not sure.
